Sruct_2.0

srucT originally started as a fixed media piece, focusing on recorded sounds from my garage in Florida, as well as drum set recordings, and ended up evolving into a piece for drum set and electronics. Premiered at the Peabody Institute in October 2023, srucT_2.0 involves a live acoustic drum set part, with a foot pedal for the soloist to use to proceed through sections at their own pace. Each section features asynchronous loops that can last as short or long as the performer would prefer. All sounds were either recorded myself, or synthesized in MaxMSP. This piece is for a four channel (quad) setup.
